15 minutes for a little more love:

you know you want to click that. go ahead. do it.
my week has been spent catching up on everything social media related. it seems like i might be on my way to a full-time job in an industry i love.
God is good.
Edit: I feel much less cynical about taking for granted the incredibleness that is the Internet when I see it used for good and for loving people. I vote...
theme day change.
“Time Travel Thursday” is turning into “Reblogging Thursday.” I’ll think of a better name later, but basically taking stuff from old blogs was too limiting, so I’m expanding include stuff found on other people’s blogs. Sharing the love. Maybe you’ll even find a good blog read out of it. :)
There’s no methodical way of choosing what...
Splinternet, technology, and nostalgia
It’s a popular saying among mass communications professors.
“What you learn in your first year of college will be outdated by the time you graduate.”
Today’s article: http://adage.com/digitalnext/article?article_id=141739
It’s speculated we’ll hear all about the mysterious Apple tablet tomorrow. As I read article after article about it, my thought process...
short
Some serious progress was made on the house this weekend. Our cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms had no knobs, so we added some in oiled bronze. Josh & his dad also added shelves and hanging space in our closet. We got curtain rods to hang up soon (although we’re still looking for curtains), and Josh and his dad are currently mounting the 42 inch TV in the formal...
Boneless Buffalo Wings - Try 1 & 2
Okay, so dinner.
Josh really likes buffalo chicken, so I thought I’d give it a shot at home by making Boneless Buffalo Wings. I made the recipe a couple a weeks ago exactly as described with the exception that I baked them instead of frying. Josh liked them, but they were a little hot for my taste (as in, I couldn’t enjoy them for all the milk they forced me to drink).
I made them...
texting, driving, and cars that read you Twitter
http://mashable.com/2010/01/19/social-media-driving-safety/
If you’re not willing to read the article, it’s cool. I’ll pull a few things out for you.
1. In 2008, an estimated 6,000 people were killed and 500,000 were injured due to cell-phone related car accidents.
I really didn’t get the Tennessee law prohibiting texting while driving until I got an iPhone. On my old...
forgiveness
This is a slightly more personal post tonight. This is originally out of my journal, but I figure it’s not secret that married people argue. We’re still human, and sometimes life just gets stressful, and you end up taking it out on each other. It’s not right, but it happens. Anyway, like I said, this is straight out of my personal journal about the last few days and kind of...
catching up
Well, it’s safe to say I failed miserably at my themes this week. I had good intentions, but after I skipped Tuesday, my mom called to check on me because I hadn’t been on Facebook or this blog all day. That kind of made me realize I was spending too much time on the computer, so I took a brief hiatus.
If I had blogged on Tuesday, it would have been about Haiti. There is a very...
short&sweet
Okay, my very first “Spiritual Sunday.” It’s going to be brief.
So what is God teaching me right now? Complete patience and trust in him. I’m not used to having to wait on things. If I were still in TN, I really wouldn’t be concerned about finding a job b/c of my contacts there. In Nashville, I’ve slowly networked myself in Marketing/Advertising since the...
So can I carry my gun to Canada? And what do I do with an Uzi?

theme days
I’ve decided to have “theme” days to help me with my 2010 goals.
Monday, Friday, and Saturday will be free days where I’ll blog about anything and everything.
“Newsday Tuesday” will focus on something new-related whether it be local, national, global, or industry-specific. I keep up with the news as it is, but this will make sure I’m consistent with...
20-something
I love being a 20-something.
There’s something about this age that make you think you can change the world. At 20-something, you never feel small. You’re certain your one voice, two hands, and giant heart will make a difference, and you don’t stop to second guess. Doubt is wasted time, and failure isn’t even laid out on the table.
I have incredible friends, each with...
2010
I started the p90x thing this morning, and I’m fairly certain it’s going to kill me. I did the one hour disc 1 and all but 5 minutes of the abs disc. So like 1.5 hours of working out when I haven’t done so consistently since September. Thank goodness for muscle memory.
I’m going to actually get ready here in a few and walk Buddy, but first, I’ll comment on why no...
Case-in-point: Florida driving
Overheard at Clermont's DHSMV
Male Teen: I can't believe I've gotta take this permit test again.
Female Teen: It's my first time. I'm nervous about it.
Male Teen: You wanna know the one that got me last time? What do you if you're driving and you see a biker? Slow down or Speed up?
Female Teen: Speed up?
Male Teen: That's what I thought too! You're supposed to slow down though.
Getting a Florida license
Foreign man: where you get the ticket?
Woman beside me: (pointing to elderly gentleman sitting behind a desk) that man right there
Foreign man: (well within elderly man's earshot) who? The one in the wig?
It's rough working at the DMV
one full week: the dog is digging
Okay, I slacked a bit in posting New Year’s stuff. Perhaps tomorrow?
Right now, I need help with more pressing matters. Does anyone know how to get a dog to stop digging holes in the backyard? Buddy is digging them all along the fence line, and it’s driving us crazy. We don’t even leave him out very long. 15 minutes max. ugh.
We made a lot of progress on the house today....
