So for those of you who don’t know… I like to craft to relieve stress. I’m not great at it, but I enjoy it a LOT, and that’s what matters here.
One of the quickest things to make is headbands, so that’s my go-to item. Most of my crafting starts somewhere around midnight as that’s pretty much the only time I can carve out enough time to sit down and do it. I had time tonight (sort of.. I’m just going to be really tired tomorrow ha.), so I dug through my remnants box to see what I could make.
I have a dress I bought at a secondhand store to repurpose, but I realized about halfway through it that I didn’t really like the dress that much, so I ripped out the lining and used it to make headband #1. I need to get some stuff to keep the edges from fraying more than I want, but otherwise, it’s purple and I like purple, so I’m happy. :)
The second was originally going to be a bib necklace, but I messed up, so I just did a couple of little flowers. I’m going to take it off the wire & move it onto a headband sometime in the near future.
The third was actually a plastic table cloth… I just wanted to see if I could make it work. I burnt my fingers quite nicely as I didn’t think about the fact that hot glue would go right through the plastic and burn my fingers when attempting to put it on backing. It was still fun to figure out how to work with the plastic even if there’s no way I’ll ever wear that headband in public. :P
I’ve also been working on crafty pictures lately, but I’m REALLY not good at those, so no pictures are getting posted until one finally works out…
This room is a WRECK now… But it’s also 2:40am, so I think I’m going to pack up my little craft box in the morning.
I feel so relaxed & happy right now. :)
